Install Desktop Environment
============================

`LXDE <https://wiki.debian.org/LXDE>`_ is one of the Debian `DesktopEnvironment <https://wiki.debian.org/DesktopEnvironment>`_ options. **LXDE** is designed to work well with computers on the low end of the performance spectrum such as older resource-constrained machines, new generation netbooks, and other small computers.

To install it on a running Debian-Stretch core system, run the following:

The minimum set of elements:

The complete set of elements:

A complete Debian LXDE desktop environment:
