Secure Boot

Secure Boot is a fundamental cybersecurity mechanism that ensures an embedded device only executes authorized, manufacturer-verified firmware or software upon startup. It protects against tampering, malware, and unauthorized firmware updates by establishing an unbroken “chain of trust” from the hardware up to the operating system.

Ka-Ro Electronics will prepare support for Secure Boot for all modern processor variants, such as the i.MX8, i.MX9, STM32MP1 and STM32MP2.
